Become a Celebrity to the Self

Voltaire said we all need to tend to our own gardens. Voltaire may have meant that in order to become a kind of "celebrity to the self', we need to cultivate our own personality in a creative way that makes it grow and thrive.
Mindlessly, defensively, etc., we all construct, and market our self with the various social and cultural roles we play, namely our various identities. We accept and are loyal to these social roles we play, often without realizing we are limiting ourselves to stereotypes. We CONSUME these stereotypes, these "norms" as if they are the essence of the self. Like a tattoo, our social roles, our various identities serve to reinforce the belief that one HAS a personality, but often our personality is one based upon illusions instead of truth. Stereotypes FOOL us into believing we belong, we fit in, but all stereotypes are relative because they function comparatively. What we really need, what gives authentic meaning to one's life, is BELONGING to oneself.
Most of us are really ANONYMOUS to ourself! Perhaps this is why there is a trend toward getting tattooed, i.e., we need to be reminded who we are with a tattoo because we all try to fit in so much with others in society that we become an indistinguishable formless, blob-type mob. This blending in, the proverbial melting pot, prevents us from achieving the very thing that makes us a celebrity to the self: absolute (i.e., unlimited) creativity and maturity: ie uniqueness.
A celebrity to the self tries to choose to "communicate" to the self and/or to others WITH their ABSOLUTE vulnerability. This ABSOLUTE vulnerability is free from any defensiveness of, free from any consciousness of BEING vulnerability, in the first place. In other words, in place of the RELATIVE meaning (i.e., a "tattoo") that we are all BRANDED and INDOCTRINATED with, a celebrity to the self, first determines his or her own unique BELIEFS about what a meaningful, mature life IS. THAT is what is INVISIBLY "tattooed" on their soul, and that UNIQUENESS gives them ABSOLUTE emotional strength. Their ABSOLUTE meaning that they have chosen for them-self provides IMMUNITY to all EMOTIONAL vulnerability, to all EMOTIONAL provocation. Of course, when there is PHYSICAL vulnerability, that is ABSOLUTE and IMMANENT, i.e., when there is an ACTUAL, as opposed to a perceived, risk to life, then, even a celebrity to the self acts upon, or reacts to physical, instead of emotional, fight or flight instincts, etc.
A celebrity to the self understands that those who try to communicate with judgemental and critical language are consciously and/or subconsciously, perhaps subliminally, limited by disinformation and double binds and propaganda. A celebrity to the self has PARADOXICALLY "disciplined" the self by giving the self internal honors, i.e., by deeply HONORING the intuition and instinct that has been liberated from almost all ego and drama. One way to accomplish this liberation of intuition and instinct, is by rejuvenating sleep, self actuated, extended sleep and a kind of temporary retreat from all social, cultural, etc., toxicity.
Sometimes, an emerging celebrity to the self needs more extended sleep, etc., (to become free from the emotional toxicity, from all the provocation that they have endured) than do others, depending on one's exposure and sensitivity to provocation. When returning from this needed sleep-retreat, and/or after sufficient re-energizing, re-validation, etc., instead of demanding recognition from others, a celebrity to the self begins to give limitless validity, gratitude, etc. to the self, and so begins to free the self, first by baby steps, from most ego and drama. Then, a celebrity to the self becomes, and remains, aware of constantly CHOOSING, and being grateful for any and all opportunities to live creatively, uniquely. A celebrity to the self may spontaneously create their own traditions, customs, making new "memories", etc. Such spontaneous intuition and instinct is creatively different from the previous ego and drama tainted intuition and instinct, because that intuition and that instinct was "infected" with the "seeds and weeds" of destructive limitations, instead of unlimited creativity.
